Mission Statement of the Hobart Historical Society:

The Hobart Historical Society has worked very hard to try restore this former Masonic building in Hobart, New York into a working museum where village of Hobart and the surrounding community’s historical artifacts and writings can be preserved for future generations to come. This website help demonstrates how the continuous efforts of the society, many organizations, governmental institutions, and the surrounding communities have been contributing to the growth of the building into a working museum.  Still, we are still constantly trying to bring up to par the improvements of this building because as history has proven, change is constant for Hobart and its surrounding community, so must the society constantly keep up with its upkeep and maintenance cost. To protect our precious treasures of the past, we need to be vigilant in gathering and protecting the lessons of our past for the next generation to learn from it. On behalf of the Hobart Historical Society, Thank you one and all for being a part of our history.
